A ten-minute exercise to turn quiet reflection into bold, purposeful action

After a week of client calls and deadlines, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of running your business. But as you know, real progress often starts with a clear vision.
This Friday, I invite you to take a step back and visualise your future. Set aside ten quiet minutes—just for you. Picture your business five years from now. Go beyond the numbers. Imagine:
- What kind of work are you and your team doing?
- Who are your ideal clients?
- How does your business impact your community?
- What does your team culture feel like?
- How does your business support the life you want to lead?
- Why does this matter?
When you have a vivid picture of your ideal future, it becomes easier to make decisions today that move you in the right direction. You’ll spot opportunities that align with your vision and avoid distractions that don’t.
A thought for your Friday:
Write down one bold aspiration that excites you—something that would make you proud in five years’ time. Then, jot down one small step you can take next week to move closer to that vision. Maybe it’s reaching out to a new type of client, investing in your team, or starting a community project.
Big visions start with clear intentions. Taking this time for yourself is an investment—one you and your business deserve.
